Development of Sustainable Farm integrated with an Anaerobic Digester in the community of Kpondetown, close to Fendell campus
The objective of the Project is to develop a sustainable farm integrated with an anaerobic digester in the community of Kpondetown, close to Fendell campus. Seven villages are within walking distance to Kpondetown. The project will build capacity of the locals in developing mitigating activities in the area of Climate Change and Biodiversity Conservation.

CRITICAL FACTORS FOR PROJECT SUSTAINBILITY: Project will address the issues of green house gasses (GHG) reduction, food security, human health, and threats to the environment by the use of traditional farming and energy techniques besides the project will build local capacity and develop alternative livelihood programme

Notable Community Participation
An in-depth consultation has already taken place, with discussions beginning in 2007 with community and stakeholders representative. This proposal has evolved as a direct result of that consultation process and a pre-project development visit which was undertaken from October by the NC.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Knowledge transfer and capacity building based on personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integral aspect of what is planned.
