the project is to be executed in Marracuene, Manhiça, Magude and Moamba districts of Maputo province; the area stands along Incomati River and is prone to intrusion of sea waters from the Indian Ocean that limits farming activities by local communities and induces ecosystem changes; the level of flora biodiversity loss is also progressively increasing; traditional healers will work closely with local communities in promoting planting and sustainable harvest of medicinal plants as an alternative source of income to households; environmental education training workshops will also enable increase of environmental consiousness.
