- the present project aims to ensure a long-term sustainability of the previous activities initiated in Mabalane; special attention will be given to integrate the best practices, lessons learned and recommendations of the final report of the previous project phase; three components were selected for this second project phase namely: redeem responsibility and practices of local communities in environmental conservation and mitigation of environmental problem issues; provide local communities with means of transport for their basic needs; empower local communities with basic environment management tools; in parallel, the project strategy will be to create a sense of ownership by local communities and government, integrating these activities in district plans.
