Combating land Degradation and Enhancing Sustainable Forests: Community Awareness and Action in Northern Namibia
The aim of the project is three fold, to educate farmers of the Northern Namibia on issues and preventative measures related to land degradation and deforestation, to address lack of funding and requisite knowledge base within rural communities to regenerate previously deforested areas and to empower women within the rural communities by providing them with the skills and tools to address land degradation an deforestation issues within their community.

Project sustainability
Families were trained on tree planting, effects on climate change and land degradation. This will help them carry over the project by planting more trees on their own, including fruit trees that will help improve their livelihood by generating an income from selling fruits as well as nutritional requirements.
