Tabor mount conserve biodiversity project on Sustainable Biodiversity Conservation and life hood Improvement
The project aims to enable the rehabilitation and enhance the service giving capacity of the lake Hawassa and also the adjoining mount Tabor. As a result the project ensures realization of the national sustainable development vision of Ethiopia as the same time to global environmental well-being efforts through increasing fish productivity of lake Hawassa, providing sufficient feed for animals, alleviating pressure on mt Tabor and lake Hawassa, creating alternative livelihood activities, and increasing the vegetation cover in mt Tabor through planting vetiver, desho, elephant grass tree and Sisal seedlings.
