Conservation of Lake Hawasa through Sustainable Land Management and ISWMS in Tabor Sub-city
The project aims to control the silt-load of lake Hawassa by preventing the land degradation in the lake catchments about 10 hectares around Mount Alamura (Halade community) by a community based afforestation and physical conservation measures taken in the area closed; maintain Integrated Solid Waste Management System (ISWMS) in Tabor sub city; give environmental awareness to the community and school; and undertake knowledge sharing and management activities.
