The Tilte Community Environmental Protection for Sustainable Development & Livelihood Improvement Project at Hawassa City Administration
The project aims to carry out regeneration of Tabor hill and conserve sustainably the resource, so as to minimize negative impacts on Lake Hawassa ecosystem and to improve community?s livelihood through sustainable land management by enhancing the capacity of the community through training, awareness raising and experience sharing, rehabilitating degraded hillsides, grazing lands, and gullies and avail additional source of cattle food and feed, reducing pressure on natural resource by creating alternative livelihood and income generating sources and contributing to climate change adaptation through the utilization of energy saving stoves.
