Capacity Building, Knowledge Management and Leadership Training Project for GEF-SGP Grantees in Nigeria.
The project seeks to build the capacity of the civil society organizations, especially grantees of the SGP in Nigeria to engage and respond to key environmental challenges. Capacity development will focus on promoting the engagement of the civil society in global environmental consultative processes; how to generate, access and use information and knowledge; supporting participatory processes in policy and legislation development; raising awareness and support for the implementation of convention guidelines; and monitoring, evaluating and documenting environmental impacts and trends. Project Activities will include: Consultation, monitoring and Evaluation of the SGP grantees; Identification of Best Practices; Leadership Training; Capacity Building on Knowledge Management; hosting a Knowledge Fair, Social Media deployment, and Publications (IECs).
