Renewable energy lighting for H.Dh. Hanimaadhoo
The project aims to switch street lighting in Hanimaadhoo to RE and LED lights. Currently, diesel powered generators provide electricity to the whole island, with a large proportion going to street and other public lighting. By switching to RE, expenditure on fuel and GHG emissions to the atmosphere will be reduced. Project will also train 30 people in utilising and maintaining solar lighting.
