“Selfsufficient pockets”.
The aim of the project is to demonstrate a practical use of alternative energy solutions and spread these ideas and practices in regard to improve the local self sufficiency. Part of the project will be dealing with the construction of demonstrative low-expense, low-carbon equipments. The other part is focused on launching the social firm GAIA VIVA focused on selling of environmental education services and products of organic agriculture within the community supported agriculture. The aim of the firm is also a promotion of community supported agriculture as an example to improve local food self-sufficiency. Local communities and Roma communities will be participating on testing, spreading and using of wood gasification stove. One of the goals of the project are also educational activities in Eco-centre SOSNA for the purpose of increase of awareness of target groups and public about practical alternatives to decrease the greenhouse gasses production and to save energy.
