“Preservation of mountain meadows in Vernár and utilization of their biomass”
The aim of the project is the rescue of unique, species-rich mountain meadows in the surrounding of the village Vernar in national park Slovensky raj. Renewed eco-system of meadows with the better status of protection will be used within sustainable agricultural management and the final products will be used by local residents. Another contribution to the decrease of pollution of atmosphere will be a transformation of heading in the building of municipal office, where will be engaged new boiler on biomass. The project follows the needs of local community, which begin to feel the limitation of supply of heading sources and try to encourage other local residents for more economical and environmental appropriated solutions of their problems. Regeneration of meadows may also increase the attraction of the surroundings of the village as a tourist destination, what can improve conditions for local businessman in tourists and also in the whole social-economical situation of community.
