Degraded Land Rehabilitation for Green Infrastructure Development Through Landscape Management Approach
The project aims to strengthen community based natural resource management and livelihood option to address the economic vulnerability of the households inhabiting the watershed area through promoting local institutional ownership of the project activities by establishing CBOs and user groups and supporting them for the effective execution of sustainable management of the natural resources; securing successful transfer of decision making to lower administration level by building sufficient follow up; establishing Network approach for project management that builds up on the experiences in the different CBOs, project implementing organizations, and professional support organizations; improving the productive potentials of different land use types of the selected watersheds and their associated natural resource base through the application of bio physical measures; and promoting interventions that increase the household income and assets.
