The project aims to conserve biodiversity in the village of Sabi in the extrem eastern end of the country by planting and protecting 60 tree species of highly threatened native species: Khaya senegalensis (Mahogany), Cordyla pinnata (Bush mango), Propsopis african (Ironwood), Parkia biglobosa (African locust bean), Daniella olivera and Pterocarpus erinaceous (Senegal rosewood)

Gender Focus
Both genders participated in the project implementation with the woman playing their traditional role of fetching water for the planting.
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Some of the community youths learnt how to make metal tree protectors that are use to encase the trees to prevent them from damage by animals. This skill can be a potential source of employment for the individuals.
