Project aim:
Various focus groups capacity building on development of eco-tourism as mechanism of conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity components

Project tasks:
- Analysis of SGP GEF ecotourism projects? experience, its efficiency, results sustainability and lessons learned
- Assessment of SGP GEF ecotourism projects by monitoring visits, interview with its executors and local communities
- Development and realization of training and consulting program for focus groups for its capacity building in ecotourism on local and national levels

Project results:
- Conducted analysis of SGP GEF ecotourism projects? experience, its efficiency, results sustainability and lessons learned
- Conducted opinion poll of project executors, local communities and all related parties
- Determination of the potential sustainability of project results, lessons learned, experiences, and identification of the most problematic issues and aspects of eco-tourism promotion on local level
- Local communities, NGOs, SPAs capacity building on development of eco-tourism
- Developed and approved a scheme of conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity, as a mechanism to reduce the load on biodiversity and involve local people in the process of sustainable use
- Improving skills and knowledge of SPAs? workers, local authorities, NGOs on the ecotourism development
