Introduction of the energy efficient stoves use in private sector of Shulbinsk as demonstration method for CO2 emission decrease and household energy efficiency increase
Project tasks:
- Conduct houses assessment on heat saving and identify houses where energy efficient stoves can be installed and give effect
- Change traditional stoves in houses on energy efficient stoves with water heaters
- Educate people of Shulbinsk village and neighboring areas, youth on introduction of energy-efficient measures
Project results:
- From 5 to 10 houses re-equipped with new energy efficient stoves
- Energy efficient stoves save coal consumption on 50%, decrease power inputs on 40-50%, increase heat emission on 40%
- Energy efficient stoves with water heaters decrease man-hours of locals and increases people?s well-being by money saving from fuel and electricity

Policy Impact
As the project shows good experience and results, we can consider it as a good base for energy efficiency policy development in remote rural districts of the country and small towns.
Notable Community Participation
Created project coordinating committee from among locals that includes 11 people. The project engages a wide number of rural inhabitants of Shulbinsk village and other rural districts, because the use of eco-friendly and fuel-efficient stoves is very crucial for the whole region.
