Project aim:
Promotion of energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in schools of Caspian region of Kazakhstan (Aturau, Mangystau and Ural oblast) with the use of new educational resource ?Green Pack for Caspian region?

Project tasks:
- Inform locals of Caspian region of Kazakhstan on actual questions about climate change, energy efficiency, energy saving, water and water resources
- Development of institutional approach in the system of high education of Caspian region, development of sustainable development strategy and energy efficiency policy of schools and its promotion
- Dissemination of best practices on energy efficiency and energy saving in Caspian region
- Development and introduction of modern educational multimedia resources on Russian and official languages in the system of high education of Caspian region and development of competences for sustainable development of high education system?s teachers in Caspian region by holding seminars and trainings

Project results:
- Educational course ?Green Pack for Central Asia? adapted to conditions and priority of Caspian region and developed new resource ?Green Pack for Caspian region?
-Produced 1000 CD-ROMs «Caspian Green Pack for Kazakhstan» for pilot schools of Caspian region
- Developed and issued 500 items of learner's guide for teachers with lessons plans on priority for Caspian region themes on Russian and official language
- Developed and issued of 500 items of "Dilemmas" educational game on priority themes for the Caspian region (in the form of cards) on Russian and Kazakh languages
- Capacity building through three seminars and trainings in Aktau, Atyrau and Uralsk cities for employees of the urban and provincial educational departments, principals and school teachers, methodologists of regional professional development institutes of Caspian region (Atyrau, Mangistau and Ural areas), NGOs, and the public, in cooperation with and with the support of UNDP, the Coca-Cola Company and the GEF SGP. Representatives of the business sector and the media were also invited to participate in these workshops, and received the necessary informational and educational materials to promote them in the region
