Plantation of Multipurpose Plants for Animal Fattening and Honey Production in Tikur-Abulo Kebele: Implications for Enhancing SEPL Resilience in GG 1 Catchment
This project aims to promote plantation of multipurpose plants, mainly for animal fattening and honey production for addressing the aforementioned environmental and socio-economic threats, and to ultimately contribute to enhancing the SEPL resilience in Tikur-Abulo kebele of GG 1 catchment through contributing to the livelihood improvement of 200 CBO members by promoting integrated conservation and development strategies such as plantation of multipurpose plants and animal fattening; minimizing communities? dependence on the environment for their livelihood and thereby contribute to improving biodiversity conservation and restoration of degraded lands that lead to sustaining the lifespan of GG 1 dam; and contributing to institutional capacity building and networking for the promotion of integrated landscape management and ensuring SEPL resilience.
