Biodiversity Conservation for Sustainable Development in Golla Kebele
The project aims to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihood of the community through implementing soil and water conservation activities on 694 hectare; generating income and developing asset for 180 association members; improving soil fertility by preparing and applying 10000m 3 compost; enhancing and strengthening the capacity of 180 community association members; replacing the extinct and endangered indigenous tree species thereby ensuring food security of the 180 community members by end of the project period; reclaiming and rehabilitating degraded communal and individual farm land; improving soil fertility of the project area; raising awareness of the community and conducting experience sharing towards biodiversity conservation and land degradation; and improving ecosystem services will be improved.
