Degraded Land Rehabilitation for Sustainable Development in Motala Kebele Administration
The project aims to improve livelihood of the Community by different innovative income generating activities such as fattening, beekeeping, selling of seedlings of multipurpose trees and Conservation of Biodiversity through rehabilitation of the local environment through enhancing rehabilitation of 300 ha of communal degraded land by area enclosure; implementing soil and water conservation activities on 300 ha of communal degraded land as well as 223.2 ha degraded land of private farm lands; improving soil fertility through application of 8225m3 compost on 223.2 ha degraded private farm lands; enhancing and strengthening the capacity of 238 members of the association through training, experience sharing; and promoting income generation and asset development for 238 members of the association through fattening, beekeeping and selling of seedlings.
