Land Degradation and Sustainable Forest Management
The project aims to improve the long-term environmental instability through various alternative-income-generating activities and facilitate sustainable development through increasing income of youth sustainably with increasing forest cover of the project area; enhancing gender equality by making active participation in decision making; rehabilitating degraded land to minimize the depletion of the biodiversity and natural resources of the project area; ensure sustainable management of Lake Langano ecosystem is in place; and finally contribute to minimizing the impact of global climate change.
