Collect best practices and scale up local and traditional food products drying/ reproduction technologies/ techniques in natural park ‘Sari-Khosor ‘ of Baljuvan district.
The main goal of the project is to support the community, living in the territory of the unique natural park Sari Khosor in their traditional farming; to strengthen their capacity for rational use of forest resources and biodiversity, and to promote and ensure the preservation of culture and traditions, which is important for food and energy security.

Project Characteristics and Results
Project sustainability
Productivity improvement of agro-ecological systems (rejuvenated orchards, gardens, production of organic fertilizer in compost pits, etc.) will have undoubtedly a long-term positive impact on food security, health and welfare of people. Also, it will reduce the food-and energy dependence of communities on forest resources.
Contribution to the rehabilitation of biodiversity (flora and fauna) of Natural Park (raising awareness, man-agement, reforestation, etc) can provide a long-term basis for the increase and preservation of all the re-sources in the forest, conservation of soil and water resources.
Assistance in the preservation of traditional knowledge and skills and crafts related to the use of resources of local ecosystems (compilation and collection of traditional crop varieties, production methods and injured food and crafts) help local communities to continue the traditions of the native people and harmoniously cohabit with living objects of unique natural complex of Sari Khosor.
Notable Community Participation
The direct beneficiaries of the project are: 200 members of the community,
60 farmers/gardeners/vegetable grower;
10 foresters,
50 - women from local households and 80 children of school age.
