The project is aiming at support two Community Forestry to get official recognition from Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and development of one Community Forestry Management Plan to manage 827 ha of protected forest for improving livelihood of indigenous community through better access to PTFPs. The project will also build capacity of community forestry committee members on different Natural Resources Management related laws and small business development for project beneficiaries aiming at reduce pressure on forestry resources by providing technical support on permaculture and small funding to three communities to apply knowledge they have leant from the project to increase income and food security.
