Species Action Plans for Priority Mammalian Species of Datca -Bozburun Peninsula
Although Datça-Bozburun peninsula has a great diversity of large mammals, existence of these mammal species is under threat mainly because of the human related disturbances. This project aims to develop and apply "species conservation action plans" in order to lower the threat level for the species and ensure their presence and survival. Large mammals tend to use larger territories than other animals and conservation of these habitats needs cooperation and coordination between different public institutions. Main goal of the project is to support the institutions responsible from conservation of biodiversity by developing a cooperation approach between institutions and management tools for conservation.
