Following Kebuai Village Development, Rural District Nanga Tayab Sebadak Raya, West Kalimantan Ketapang For Renewable Energy
GOAL
To make Kebuai Sub Village as a pilot project of self-sufficient sub-village in meeting its energy demands and to help community in reducing the costs of daily living by substituting the purchase of fossil fuels based energy with producing renewable energy. In order to do so, it would endorse the community in maintaining indigenous forests that would also means conserving the environment.
OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Constructing one pilot unit of appropriate technology implementation in generating energy using the existing natural resources
Indicator : 1. The survey and design of Development Planning of micro hydro in Kebuai Sub Village
2. The construction of 1 small-scale power generating units with appropriate capacity according to the result of survey
3. The installation of initial installation for social facilities (lighting installation in one church) and public facilities (installation of street lighting in the village as much as 50 points, along 1 km street)
Activities : ? Survey on natural resources potential
? Initial design planning of the potential
? Design consultation on initial potential of small-scale generator with the micro hydro manufacturer
? Village discussion on energy usage
? Construction of a 2 X 5 m2 settling basin, a 2 X 3 m2 power house and the installation of penstock pipe
? Installation of 7 kW generator
? Installation of distribution network from power house to the church, added with a network for street lighting
Objective 2 : Monitoring and evaluation
Indicators : 1. Document about the whole process of the activities carried out for 12 months, in printed and electronic version
2. Per semester reporting
Activities : 1. Monitoring and documenting of process
2. Evaluation meeting per semester
3. Drafting progress reports and final reports
EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. The establishment of micro-hydro development plan in Kebuai and that it can be utilized by the entire community in the sub village
2. Kebuai Sub Village can become a self-sufficient village in terms of meeting its energy demands
