Sustainable natural resource Management for the Improvement Rural Economy in South Tanimbar Island
GOAL
Formulated a plan "Sustainable management of natural resources for economic improvement and protection of coastal areas based on Community", which is designed through a process of community planning in the village Lermatang.
OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Collected data on the condition of the area, natural resources and sosio economic data Lemartan Village, including of rural stakeholder
Indicators : 1. The availability of data resources, document socio-economic data, and maps of the areas Lermatan village.
2. Identified potential stakeholders to implement programs and to support the program.
Activities : 1. Observation Village Conditon:
This observation activities aimed to collect the data and information about the village physic, daily activity of the community and community relation model. The observation will be doing in direct observation and informal interview with the community and community leader who identified before. The result of observation will be used to facilitate the participatory assessment process.
2. Participatory Assessment:
This activity aimed to collect data and information about the social economic the community, mapping the parties who play the role in culture institution, the women, village government, the relation between the parties, the interest of parties and identified the iniciative and potential planning are developed through the joint planning. The activity will be involved the parties who identified through the observation activity.
3. Mapping The Area and Condition of Potential Village
The activity aimed to described about the physic condition of are and the potential of nature resources in Lemartan village, including changes that occur in rural areas. Participatory mapping will be done using the PRA method, involving the village government and community residents in the village Lermatan.
Objective 2 : Arranged strategy and a plan for sustainable management of natural resources and protection of the economic improvement of community-based coastal village Lermatan.
Indicators : 1. Sorsilai staff be able to facilitate community-based participatory planning process.
2. Plan program strategies and plans in the wake understood by the people in the village Lermatan.
3. There is a plan for the sustainable management of natural resources and protection of the economic improvement of community-based coastal village Lermatan.
Activities : 1. Strengthening knowledge and technical skills to facilitate community-based participatory planning:
This activity aims to Sorsilai staff be able to facilitate participatory community planning. 2 people Sorsilai Foundation staff will send training capacity that will be facilitated by the SGP-Indonesia.
2. Community-based participatory village planning:
These activities will be done through workshops in the village by involving the village government, traditional institutions, women, youth and community members in the village Lermatan. This plan will refer to the results of observation and participatory assessment conducted earlier. This activity will result in: i) program ideas raised according to the needs of society and also for the benefit of resource sustainability. ii) strategy and implementation stages. iii) an agreement on the participation of the village government, traditional institutions and citizens in the program. Workshop will be facilitated by the SGP-Indonesia and Yayasan Sorsilai.
3. Writing the proposal:
This activity aims to formulate ideas that emerged during the workshop program into the planning of the program proposal. These proposals include; plan activities and achievement strategies and implementation phases, as well as the program budget. Proposal writing activities will SGP-Indonesia.
EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. Collected data on the condition of the area, natural resources and socio-economic data Lermatan village, including the role of stakeholders.
2. Structured strategy and a plan for sustainable management of natural resources and protection of the economic improvement of community-based coastal in Lermatan Village.

Direct :
1. Village Community Lermatan as many as 270 households, which consisted of 1047 souls (men's and women's 521 people 526 people). Each household they will be involved in the planning process pertisipatif and initial activities before planning is done.
2. Foundation staff Sorsilai; 2 people Sorsilai Foundation will have the knowledge and skills that are ready to facilitate community-based participatory planning, and be able to design and develop a plan based on community planning.
