Critical Assessment Planning and Management of Lake Tempe-Based Community
GOAL
Encouraging community participation, especially women and youth drop out of school to play an active role in the management potential of selected lakes in the district of Tempe (Tempe &Tanasitolo District) in an integrated manner, based on ecological, economic and community
OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Build the critical awareness and self-reliance of communities to manage the potential of Lake Tempe integrated and sustainable.
Indicators : 1. Development of criticalawareness, commitment and understandingcommunity and stakeholders in the management of Lake Tempe
2. Development of collectiveself-reliance of localcommunities to takeadvantage of and manage the Lake Tempe
3. Development of the participation of localcommunities, especiallywomen and youthdroppingout of school in preparingplanning& management strtegiTempe Lake.
The availability of data and the identification of potential and problems occurred in the Tempe lake and completionstrategyplanningdocument in the form of technicalproposal plan
Activities : 1. Discussion focused and Coordination with Stakeholders.
This activity is an activity carried out at the beginning and each location presents selected stakeholders (Development Agency, Office of Water Resource Management, Energy and Mineral Resources District. Wajo, Wajo Environment Agency, the Government and the Government of the Village district, fishing communities, youth / adolescents) and implemented each 2 days in each selected location and will be facilitated by the IPPM. Recommendations were born of this activity will be follow up on the activities of the planning workshop.
2. Critical Planning & Assessment Workshop on Strategic Management of Lake Tempe:
This activity is a continuation of the discussion focused already performed on each of the selected sites, recommendations of FGD will be a reference in the preparation of the planning and management of critical tempe lake. The workshop will be conducted in the City of Sengkang and attended representatives from each of the selected sites and related stakehorder ((Development Agency, Office of Water Resource Management, Energy and Mineral Resources District. Wajo, Department of Environment, Government of Tempe District, Government District Tanasitolo, Pajale Village Government and Village Government Laelo) and will be facilitated by the IPPM.
EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. Existing critical awareness and increasing community capacity particularly in processing of water hyacinth-based economic and community
2. Encourage the participation of women and youth drop out of school and local institutions to play an active role managing the sustainable potential of Lake Tempe-based economy and environment
3. Establishment of the document in the form of proposals (narrative and financial) as a general guideline in planning treatment strategies on water hyacinth as an alternative attempt pelestraian and management potential Tempe Lake
