GOAL
Existence a breakthrough innovation by the conservation of small islands on the border in order to bring the responsible management of resources and build community commitment to the protection of natural habitats.

OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Build consensus and participatory planning and habitat protection of natural ecosystems (mangroves, seagrass and coral reef) island on the border between communities
Indicators : 1. Understanding the inter-island to the protection of natural habitats (mangrove, seagrass and coral reefs).
2. Existence agreement among the island community for the protection of natural habitats
Activities : 1. Discussions between island communities
2. Discussions between islands is done in 3 places on the island nest, Mecan and Lengkang. This event will bring local people and communities around them, The village, District and Department KP2K.
Objective 2 : Conduct Assessment of potential ecological (resource assessment) participatory
Indicators : 1. Public awareness of the potential resources around them (especially: mangrove, seagrass and coral reefs).
2. The absence of data resource potential and the potential of the islands (at least 3 islands with the potential to be developed) in kuntitatif and qualitatively.
Activities : 1. Survey potential resource islands and coral reefs, seagrass and mangroves.
This activity will involve CBC Member, Society, and the Department KP2K. Community and CBC members will be involved first training diperi short in measuring resources (mangroves, seagrass and coral), further field surveys. This short course will be facilitated by the facilitator
Objective 3 : Make a plan with the development and sustainability of conservation (conservation action plan for community-based)
Indicators : The planned development of conservation activities partisifatif
Activities 1. Implement the action plan workshop of community-based conservation
This activity will be carried out in one place for 3 days or 3 sessions. Events planned to be held in the fellowship hall at the back of the desert districts for 3 days. If it is not possible will be done on the island nest by using non SD on any day of the week (3 times a day of the week). This activity will involve the community, the government village, district and Department KP2K. The facilitator planned is the Chief Technical Unit Water Conservation Batam.
2. Documentation and Reporting
The report was made at the end of the activity (after the whole event is considered complete) equipped with pictures of activities.

EXPECTED OUTPUT
1. Establishment of agreements with the protection of the natural habitat of coral reefs, mangroves and seagrass beds in the islands Sekanak Kingdom
2. Profiles resource potential of the region Sekanak Raya
3. Conservation action plan that will be implemented for Sarang Island, Sekanak Raya

PARTICIPANTS AND / OR PROJECT BENEFICIARIES
Direct : Participants involved in the activities directly for activities as well as the communities in Island Sarang (90 families, 320 inhabitants), Lengkang (110 families, 429 people) and Mecan (30 families, 139 inhabitants) where the activity took place.
Indirect : 1. Sekanak Raya Communities
Final data on December 2011 the population of the Village Sekanak Kingdom as 7491 people, the number of Family Head KK 2657, consisting of: 6 Pillars of Citizens (RW), 20 Neighborhood Association (RT).
