Beekeeping for Income and Environment Conservation in Mtakuja Village, Mabogini Ward, Moshi Rural
Beekeeping for Income and Environment Conservation in Mtakuja Village, Mabogini Ward, Moshi Rural
CONTEXT
Most important issue for this project is that, there are existing beekeepers groups who need only support in terms of training and equipment in order to make the honey production a more profitable business to community lives and to the environment.

Already in Mtakuja village beekeeping is done using local hives due to lack of knowledge to conduct this activity at a market level. After receiving this support the Church and its members will be able to pack and label its honey for sell outside the village.

PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY: The project will be run by the deeper life church members who will be trained and initiate similar activities at their homes and the activities will be inherited by their family members thus propagates the knowledge among the community.

STRENGTH OF THE ORGANIZATION IN THE IMPLEMENTAION OF THE PROJECT:

The project will be successfully since it is located in the area which has a tradition of beekeeping and the community has a good relationship with the church.
