Promotion of Modern Aquaculture and Plantation of Multipurpose Plants for Enhancing SEPL Resilience in Burka-Asendabo Kebele of GG 1 Catchment
The project aims to promote modern aquaculture and plantation of multipurpose plants to addressing the environmental and socio-economic threats disclosed in the project document, and to ultimately contribute to enhancing the SEPL resilience in Burka-Asendabo kebele of GG 1 catchment through contributing to the livelihood improvement of 200 (130 men and 70 women) CBO members by at least 25% through promotion of integrated conservation and development strategies like improved aquaculture and plantation of multipurpose plants; minimizing communities? dependence on the environment for their livelihood at least by 25%, and thereby contribute to improving biodiversity conservation and restoration of degraded lands that lead to sustaining the lifespan of GG 1 dam; contributing to institutional capacity building and networking of the CBO with other partners for the promotion of integrated landscape management and ensuring SEPL resilience.
