Planting of Multipurpose Plant to Improve the Natural Conditions of Lelise Bula Kebele and Enhance CBO Members Income
The project aims to promote plantation of various multipurpose plant species of animal fodder for addressing the environmental and socio-economic threats disclosed in the project document, and to ultimately contribute to enhancing the SEPL resilience in Lelisa Bula kebele of GG 1 catchment through contributing to the livelihood improvement of 200 (170 men and 30 women) CBO members by at least 25% through promotion of integrated conservation and development strategies like plantation of multipurpose plants and animal fattening; minimizing communities? dependence on the environment for their livelihood at least by 25%, and thereby contribute to improving biodiversity conservation and restoration of degraded lands that lead to sustaining the lifespan of GG 1 dam; and contributing to institutional capacity building and networking of the CBO with other partners for the promotion of integrated landscape management and ensuring SEPL resilience.
