Planning grant "The development of a full project proposal for the conservation of the biological diversity of the natural complex “Sharkyratma” through the creation of a protected area”.

The idea of the project is to promote conservation of the plot?s biodiversity through the conduction of environmental education activities, inventory of flora and fauna, the preparation of legal documents for obtaining status of protected area and development of a full project proposal.

Project Characteristics and Results

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods

A better condition of local livelihood will be a result of sucessful deliverign of the project. As it should improve the local infrostructure and condition of territory which can then attract tourists to come, thus contributing to the raise of economy of local population.

Planning gef grant

As this is a planning project, it will be a bse of for the writing and implementation of full project proposal.

Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples

In the project contribute to the local population, interested farmers and local authorities.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment

Informing of broader public will be guaranteed through conducting of series of meetings with local population and information will also be gicen durign the planned trainings. In the course of this project was filmed a video was shown on the republican and regional television story about the progress of the project and published an article in the newspaper impurity Tenir Too designed booklet provided a photo report on the project.

Notable Community Participation

Proposed round table and trainings will contribute to the cooperation of local population with authorities and other stakeholders. Exchanging the information and ideas between them will raise the better understanding of each other.

Capacity - Building Component

The project has elements for capacity building of local communities and authorities on conservation of biodiversity of natural complex Sharkyratma. As well, they will be trained to make inventory, and receive professional advices and skills on the process of receiving the Legal status of Protected territory.

Project sustainability

The sustainability component will be detailed and described in the full project proposal for the Conservation of Biodiverstiy of Sharkyratma.

Policy Influence

Within the project the project area which is being protected by the initiative will be transformed into the conservation area on the local level which will be decided by the deputies of local council.

Policy Impact

local community and local governments are primarily interested in the preservation of a unique natural area located on the territory of pastures.Local governments are willing to support the project.

Project Results

As a result there will be developed a full project proposal which will be addresses to the conservation of Natural Complex of Sharkyratma.
The specific objectives of the given planning project are:
- The local communities and authorities are trained to make an assessment and evaluation.
- The infrastructure of the project area around the Sharkyratma is improved,
- the inventory of local flora and fauna is conducted,
- The local population had a better income opportunities due to raise of ecotouristm.,
- A documentary on the project was shot in the Sharkyratma area and aired in the national channel
