Eco-System Management of the Northern Shore of Bayshore Road Phase II
Eco-System Management of the Northern Shore of Bayshore Road Phase II
Primary objective and specific:
The primary objective of the project is to promote the concept of a sustainable community that looks at and combines the pillars of social, economic and environmental management into the wellbeing and development of the community.

Specifically, the project seeks to:
? Currently there is one company that deals with waste management. The company is contracted with local government to provide residential waste removal but not commercial businesses in the settlement. The company does however; remove the commercial business waste even though they are not required to do.
? Strengthen and enhance waste management systems throughout the community which would effectively deal with litter, bulk waste and particularly the disposal of conch shells. It is critical to establish proper waste containment locations for bulk waste and other heavy items in the absence of a landfill in the community, for waste to be properly secured until final disposal.
? Develop waste management systems in key public areas that promote and contribute to the concept of proper disposal practices and recycling of man-made and natural resource items.
? Develop green spaces which embrace the concept and integration of natural resource elements and appreciation for biodiversity.
? Implement a voluntary campaign for community improvement and maintenance.
? Develop an environmental documentary on the process of environmental management and education in the community of West End.
