ZODWOCA low land Forest Conservation Community Project
That the reduction of farming pressure and other activities on the forest will ensure land management to keep our ECO-system and climate in ship That the hard work and energy used on forest will be reduced. Main activities that the proposed project will involve? How will they be carried out Conduct an awareness in the area conduct town hall meeting to identify ten females in Zigida, Dorsenenlor and Bomi hills to participate in the project Recruitment of community based staff to work with ZODWOCA monitors; Conduct training; Procure Agriculture implements for participants (including) Cutlasses, hoe, ran bots, Carry on town-cries information sharing for non-participants
Purchase seed rice for participant Encouraging women to engage in swamp rice production
Recruit monitors from the town. Monitoring and Reporting on key result impacts, challenges and sustainability Conduct an evaluation of the project. Submit Mid-Term report after the first six months
Submit final report at end of twelve (12) months it is hoped that the above activities will be ensured full participation of the community involve, ownership and sustainability of the project. how will your organization ensure that the local community will be affected by the proposed project, as well as other stake holders involved, will fully participate in the proposed project. Of the Konia forest belt, three community will be selected, they are going to be direct beneficiary of project, land for farming will be provided by the community, community project monitors will be selected from three communities, workshop to educate the community on the danger of destroying the forest will not only be limited to the ten selected farmers; Cultivation of 25 to 30 areas by the community Training of 100 community dwellers on rice production low land or swamp (30 Dorsenenlor, 30 Bomi hill and 40 Zigida) The introduction of new improved production technologies in low land rice cultivation.

Notable Community Participation
An in-depth consultation has already taken place, with discussions beginning in 2012 with community and stakeholders representative. This proposal has evolved as a direct result of that consultation process and a pre-project development visit which was undertaken from September by the project team.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Knowledge transfer and capacity building based on personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integral aspect of what is planned.
