Multi-stakeholder ownership for reclamation of grazing land and establishment of agro-forestry for fodder generation and management
Project Objectives:
- Enhance coordination for sustainable use of resources with improved livestock management to reduce forest dependency and conservation of forests.
- Capacity building and facilitate transfer of technology to FMCs (communities)
- Enhance fodder requirements to eliminate migratory rearing and to facilitate conservation of forests and biodiversity.
- Institutionalizing FMCs with Govt. programs, and gram panchayats

Project Characteristics and Results
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
100 percent awareness will be created among the community members on importance of fodder development for their livestock feeding needs. 100 farmers were taken for exposure visits to Regional station for forage production and demonstration, Andhra Pradesh. 12 meetings (monthly basis in each village) will be conducted by FD & MC.
Capacity - Building Component
1200 farmers will be trained in latest technologies on fodder development. Adequate training on technological implications for sustainability will be conducted. 15 demonstration plots with different fodder varieties were established in villages to demonstrate the cultivation methods and varieties of nutrition fodder.
