Establishment of natural protected area for conservation and rehabilitation of forest ecosystem in Kremin district
The objective of the project is connected with the focal area ?Biodiversity? and directed on conservation and rehabilitation of forest ecosystem in Kremin district. Territory of Kremin district in Lugansk region is a unique natural ecosystem with rich diversity of flora and fauna. The main outcome of the project will be establishment of the natural protected area. In order to register Kremin natural protected area and include the territory into the list of protected areas of Ukraine the project has to provide a comprehensive analysis; develop cartographic and surveying materials, site reconnaissance survey, preparation of cadastral plan, calculation of areas of land; organize conciliation activities with district land management authorities, forestry, architectural, sanitary-epidemiological and other institutions; organize conciliation activities with regional land management authorities, forestry, architectural, sanitary-epidemiological and other institutions; submit an appropriate documentation to create National Park "Kremin forests" to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine and Administration of President of Ukraine.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Public awareness activities on biodiversity protection issue will take place within the project as well as community mobilization and involvement is planned. Awareness campaign includes public hearings, seminars, roundtables, presentations, environmental lessons and other activities; production and distribution of printed materials: flyers, brochures, newspaper ?Ecoday?, CDs with video, etc.
