Aquaponics: Empowering Communities to address food security, alternative livelihood initiatives and sustainable resilience.
project is located on the small island of Barbuda in which 1500 residents live. The youths are leaving and this project seeks to teach and demonstrate sustainable and alternative livelihoods. Focus is on the children in school. Agricultural production will be enhanced and these food and use of these the diet will be demonstrated.The project will engage in the planting of the 4 types of mangrove trees and the activities will be filmed as part of the Knowledge management strategy.
