“Kutirr community forest management project”.
The project aims to conserve Kutirr Community forest which is a 120 ha. forest belonging to the village. Kutirr has been severely degraded due to illegal and sustainable practices with much loss of tree species. Through this project, tree species will be conserve, the tree density will be improved through rea-afforestaion, local bylaws to curb illegal activities will be put in place, capacities in community forestry management will be built and sustainable livelihoods will be enhanced.

Gender Focus
As both men and women are involved in exploiting forest resources, both genders were equally involved in the implementation of this project.
out of the 41 trained on community forestry, 18 were women and 22 were men. 18 women and 23 men were trained for the beekeeping component. out of the 41 trained on compost making, 15 were women and 26 were men.
Capacity - Building Component
Key component of the project will include silvi culture, nursery management, patrolling, bush fire prevention and control among the participating communities.
41 active participants from the community received training on beekeeping skills and sustainable techniques and compost making . another 40 members were trained on community forestry management.
a study tour to forest parks, eco- tourism and beekeeping sites was complete; aim is to study and emulate best practices in these areas.
