Apoio á pesca artesanal sustentável no Rio Cacheu
Project principal objective: Phase out the use of ghost fishing nets by fishermen fishing in S. Vicente to contribute to sustainable fishing
Project specific objectives: (i) organize the fishermen's association of S. Vincent and endows her spirit of citizenship to learn to defend their professional interests, economic and environmental; (ii) Provide the fishermen association of Saint Vincent of fishing means entering the appropriate policy rational management of fishery resources,
(iii) Replace the traditional smoking kilns for improved stoves that reduce firewood consumption of mangrove
(iv) Create for the association of fishermen of St. Vincent a box of savings and credit that ensures the availability of fishing nets alternative to ghost nets; (v) Create a box of credit to women who sell fish to increase their investments
