Conservation of Keng Kampong Dor Flooded Forests
Keng Kampong Dor CFi in Chroy Banteay commune, Prek Prasop district, Kratie province was formed in 20th August 2009 by FiA in collaboration with Kratie FiA Cantonment and commune and district authorities. The CFi is participated by 2 villages, Kaeng and Kampong Dor. It has a management committee of 11 members, 1 woman, and with 209 members, 44 women. The CFi Kaeng Kampong Dor is established to manage 440ha fisheries area.
The CFi area has now been suffering from destructive practices including land claim and clearance for agriculture thus causing damage to the lake ecosystem, loss of fish spawning and feeding habitat and refuges.
