FSM: Nukuoro Taro Patch Reclamation and Community Livelihood Adaptation Project
The main purpose of the project is to encourage and empower the Nukuoro community people in their restoration efforts of their taro crops plantations with tools & equipment supplies, awareness programs, as well as by describing and practically demonstrating appropriate culture (best practices) techniques, including the introduction of improved farming strategies and by using improved crop varieties that are better adapt to local conditions, as well as climate changes issues and impacts on our small islands.
