Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
25 farmer households will improve their livelihood by being involved in farmers unions during project implementation. Annually, every spring, these households will get kakhetian pigs ( 14 pigs) in their ownership as described in business plan of the project. Further they will benefit from pigs production as well as from meat production and sales.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Khodasheni farm will be set as modeling/ demonstration farm by the project. The farmers open days will be arranged, when each and every interested person can come and see how the farm is functioning. The farm will be opened for all interested parties for information sharing as well as to discussion lessens learned and gained experience. It will help farmers in general to follow proper farming practices which will be a sound foundation for their further development.
