main aim of the project is to protect village Tkhinvali from erosion though construction of gabions and aforestation acitivties, as a result community will have access to abandoned land for farther cultivation , in addition project will serve as a model how to use water as renewable energy source

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Families, secondary school, kindergarten, dispensary and administrative buildings of the village will be protected from the erosion; 44 families will have the roads leading to the plantations; The secondary school, kindergarten, dispensary and stadium will be supplied with the high quality water. 44 household can cultivate abandoned land , which will bring additional income to them
Gender Focus
Gender balance will be maintained during project planning and implementation activities. Based on project specification, mainly man will be actively involved in project implementation activities (will contribute to the project, with their labor work); however beneficiary of the project will be men and women equally.
