Replication of project activities

The Pacari Articulation will be granted with another SGP support, the project supported will be "medicinal oils of the Cerrado". With this grant, the community will be able to acquire packaging and therefore have the basic conditions to structure collectively the commercialization of it's products.

Notable Community Participation

The group being benefited is made up of 12 women who are partners in the work of medicinal plant harvest and vegetable oil extraction in the small community of Barra da Comunidade de Vão de Almas. The project will involve 21 families in the building of a storage unit for production.

The project focuses on utilizing these oils from medicinal plants to be used in the community as well as selling the product in order to increase the families income.

10 families from Vão de Almas community have amplified their capacity and quality of production

One small production unity was built

The community built one shed, used for meetings and fruit drying

10 women and one man trained to improve their production conditions. All of them got educational kits on the subject

Selection of packaging to improve product's quality and sales

200 ha used for sustainable harvest

Average income generated of USD 25,00 per woman/family

In 2016, were commercialized 60L of Indaiá coconut oil, 30L of Pequi oil, 20Kg of tingui soap and 6Kg of mesocarp
