Promoting Conservation agriculture education through awareness raising
This activity will involve the holding of groups meetings in project communities, and the designing of information, education and communication materials (posters, flyers). A conservation agriculture technician will be hired to supervise and lead in awareness creation 3 communities. The content of the awareness will include: environmental awareness, land degradation, sustainable forest management, climate change and biodiversity. Awareness meetings will be carryout for 9 days (two days in each community). Conservation Agriculture education and awareness activities will also use the media especially local radio stations to broadcast discussions and messages in local languages. This activities are envisage to be commence early when local farmers preparing to harvest newly planted rice and other crops from their farm land.

? Conservation agriculture pilot demonstration establishment: Demonstration pilot site will be establish to expose 300 farmers to conservation agriculture farming practices through pilot demonstrations. Criteria for selecting participating farmers will be developed in strong collaboration with the town authority and the Community Forestry management Committee. This pilot demonstration will provide a hand on practical training for farmers on basic agriculture technology that support biodiversity conservation and climate change.

? Identify and support three marketable livelihood income generation enterprises: 45 participating farmers of the conservation agriculture pilot demonstration will be identified, encourage and supported to further advance their new skills in implementing three marketable livelihoods activities. These activities will be aim at generating income to improve their life style, while at the same time, putting in to practice their new skills. Each farmers group will constitute 15 members, and will be encourage to choose one of the following activities for implantation: snail farming, beekeeping, or vegetable productions. Each group will be assisted in getting sustainable access to the inputs and technical skills necessary to increase agricultural productivity and value addition.

Notable Community Participation
An in-depth consultation has already taken place, with discussions beginning in 2012 with community and stakeholders representative. This proposal has evolved as a direct result of that consultation process and a pre-project development visit which was undertaken from September by the project team .
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Knowledge transfer and capacity building based on personal involvement of local people are at the heart of this project and hence dissemination is an integral aspect of what is planned.
