Objective 1: Interactive meetings and community events to create a platform for collective environmental problem analysis, action planning and evaluation - The project will start with community mobilization interactive meetings to enable the target stakeholders to fully understand the project goal and objectives as well as the role they are expected to play during project implementation.
Objective 2: Improve practical skills development and mentorship for project beneficiaries:
A training schedule describing all training and practical demonstrations will be developed and implemented in collaboration with agricultural extension and community development officers.
Objective 3:Creation of opportunities for livelihood improvement (food security and income generation) - Social upliftment activities will involve promoting small-scale entrepreneurial projects and assisting the beneficiaries to access appropriate local and national markets.
Objective 4: Introduction of integrated waste management systems and reduction of littering
Project actions will mainly focus on the problem of wanton dumping of wastes by households and retail businesses since it is in this area that the community can make a difference.
Objective 5: Community engagement in practical action to improve environmental education and conservation awareness - To enhance learning at schools, the ACCP Community Field Officer will work with educators at target schools to expose learners to the activities being promoted.
