Energy-efficient technologies with low carbon dioxide emission for the protection of natural environment and sustainable development of up to 800 members of the border vulnerable communities of Upper Racha
The project?s aim is to promote the dissemination of energy-efficient technologies with low carbon dioxide emission for the protection of natural environment and sustainable development of members of the border vulnerable communities of Upper Racha. The project?s objectives are: informing up to 800 members of the three target vulnerable communities, Ghebi, Chiora and Glola on energy saving, environmental protection and sustainable development with the use of energy-saving technologies; insulation up to 35 square meters of living space, the installation of energy-efficient wood-burning stoves, solar water heater system, two efficient light bulbs in each of the eight families of the beneficiaries, as well as demonstration their use by thirty-two members of the eight beneficiary families in targeted communities; the support of creation and development an eco - club in each of the target communities provided by the project; creation of at least one financial mechanism to facilitate access of vulnerable populations to energy saving technologies, and make it accessible to stakeholders.

Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Awareness rising of eight beneficiary families (up to 32 people) in benefits of use of energy efficient technologies (Supporting the development of necessary skills of beneficiary families to use energy-saving technologies through on-site training); Awareness-raising of as minimum 20 youths (6-7 youths from each community) in the environmental protection, use of energy efficient technologies and on issues of medium and small green business by 2- days seminar-training raising of motivation and interest of up to 800 representatives of the three target communities in the environmental protection and use of energy efficient technologies (conducting information meetings, dissemination of appropriate leaflets, provision advices, demonstration of energy efficient technologies through beneficiary families)
Policy Influence
Multilateral dialogues has been placed with participation of the local Municipal Authorities, Governors office representatives, project beneficiaries and other interested parties regarding project activities and its importance in the region, which is one of the mountainous regions with strong weather conditions in winter lasting for 5-6 months.
