? Printing ?information, education and communication? IEC material and monitoring
Expected Output
? Alternate energy is promoted in the targeted area
? Community is fully aware and sensitized towards eco-friendly alternate energy products by the best utilization of solar lights.
? Replication possibilities for nearby areas through mouth publicity and wider awareness and adoption of environmental friendly energy systems.
? Reduced household expenditures incurred on the lighting
? Creating demand for environmental friendly energy in the country;
? 619 families have complete access on solar-run-lantern, House Module and street light.
? 20 eco friendly CBOs established and become self sustained to work for natural resources management in the target area.
Anticipated Results
It is estimated that about 1.6 billion people on this planet live without access to electricity. Solar energy is the radiant light and heat from the Sun that has been harnessed by humans since ancient times using a range of ever-evolving technologies. Solar technologies are broadly characterized as either passive solar or active solar depending on the way they capture, convert and distribute sunlight.
The solar lantern is an innovative, eco-friendly solar-powered lantern, designed to withstand the harshest environments. Approximately the size and weight of a can of soda, the lantern features a solar-charging battery and bright, energy-efficient LEDs. This unique combination makes the lantern unlike any other lantern available today. Water-resistant and usable as a flashlight or lantern, can be charged and used virtually anywhere - no matter the situation. The Light is a reliable, renewable light made to last through any kind of adventure. It?s also economical, environment friendly and easy to use. Simply connect the included solar panel to the lantern and place it in direct sun for hours of clean, bright light
