Climate Change Mitigation through Reforestation
Activities to be carried out under project:

In order to achieve the above said objectives following activtities are proposed:
? Project Launch ceremony (multistakeholder
? MoU with forest department and selection of suitable land
? Mobilization sessions in villages located inside and adjacent to the selected land and formation of community organizations (COs)
? Coordination meetings with the district administration for conflict resolution (if any that occurs during the project life as most of the forest land is under illegal possession
? Training of 10 Eco-guards on Modern Tools of Fire Fighting.
? Open dialogues among the communities and the forest department and other stakeholder to identify the issues of the forest and think about possible solutions
? Make a documentary on the status of Forest in targeted regions.
? Training of COs on: Organizational Development and Institutional Strengthening, Sustainable Livelihoods, Environmental and Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Change Adaptation and Forests.
? Plantation of 0.5 million trees

Anticipated Results

1. 100 acres land of the Raees Jakhrani Forest has been reforested
2. 5000 livestock has access to fodder
3. Ecological space available for biodiversity foresting
4. 400 families have access to livelihood options
