Reducing Pressure on Forest by Promoting Briquettes for Fuel as an Alternative Energy Source in Jalalabad, Nangarhar
Reducing Pressure on Forest by Promoting Briquettes for Fuel as an Alternative Energy Source in Jalalabad, Nangarhar?, implemented by A4T which has extensive experience at the grass root level around Nangahar provinces in the areas of education, health and agriculture. The project is designed on bases of community needs and will focus on reducing pressure on the forest resouces. In the targeted areas, massive deforestation has already been taken place, and it is still in progress due to lack of alternative energy source to be used by community for cooking and heating. The project will not only provide them with alternative source of energy for cooking and heating, but It will also contribute in promoting the technology which will improve their livelihood, economy and health. This project will contribute entensively in protecting the forest cutting and will provide community with an alternative source of fuel which is easy and inexpensive to produce.
