Promoting a Sustainable Artisanal Fisherie in Canhabaque Island
Project principal objective: Contribute to the development of a sustainable commercial scale fishing in the waters of Canhabaque Island. Project specific objectives: (i) Equip three units of artisanal fisheries in order to make them financially autonomous, increasing the income of fishermen, (ii) Promote the abandonment of ghost nets and other harmful fishing gear; (iii) recovery of agricultural production of the peanut Bijagó.
